I am trying to find a new blower motor resistor for my 1984 Dodge D150 with a 318 and a/c. I am not having any luck. I dont really want to go to the dealer or the junkyard any suggestions on where i could find a new one. Thank you.

Dealer has discontinued this part. I am going to have to go to pull a part this weekend and look at some off of an 86. I hope they work. I am tired of having no heat.

Find your local Car Quest, they've been excellent in finding random parts, and even having most of it in stock. Otherwise, going to have to rely on the dealer. I hate to recommend them, but remember that a yard part from that vintage will be in just about the same condition as what you have. It could work fine for a while, but you'll most likely be replacing it again. Sometimes the dealer is the last resource. Sucks though.

You should go to the dealer even though you don't want to go there. There are some items you should never buy at the junkyard, and this is one of them. Additionally your blower motor could be drawing too much amperage and could blow the next resistor. But from your comments you are too cheap to buy a new resistor and new blower motor. Good Luck.
