What's with cars interiors today? Fake wood, real wood that looks fake, mismatched plastics, etc.

I was in a friends 300C and could not believe how poor the quality of the interior is, same with incredibly cramped PT cruiser.

Test drove a Honda Civic, and it has a two-tier Tokyo-By-Night display that is a nightmare, and the speedo located on the RIGHT of the field of view(center of dash) is without the worst idea of saving on engineering/tooling cost Toyota could have done with the Scion XB/Echo. If the Yaris has it, then forget that too.

Anyone else notice this?

The Chrysler MyGig navigation system looks really cool, but I was wondering if anyone knows whether the lock on watching DVDs or entering text while moving is in the software of the device or a simple parking brake wire that can be tricked?

The handle itself is good but I have to roll down the window to open the door from the outside. Winters coming and I won't be able to roll my window down all the time.

We are looking at buying a 2004 PT cruiser, it has 18,000 miles on it, has the adjustable seat for the driver, cd player, warranty that comes with the car. Would like to know the average mpg and any other issues with this vehicle.

As in gas..more room..etc I have a 2.4 motor chrysler voyager but wanted a three seater suv.. but have been told I have came out better with mini van with gas these days and more room with my 4 children. Who can relate?

Mine fell off. Only 4000 mills on the car. The dealership is sending photos to headquaters to see if it is covered under warranty. Crazy. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Maybe a recall issue. Thanks Jd
