Yes, and Chrysler is owned by Daimler-Chrysler.
The Chrysler Corp bought AMC (formerly American Motors Corp) in 1987, from the Renault Company of France. AMC owned the Jeep Company. (Chrysler continued to sell some AMC-Renault designed cars under the Eagle brand, but discontinued them a few years later.)
Daimler-Benz, which owns Mercedes-Benz, bought Chrysler Corp in 1998. The merged company is called Daimler-Chrysler and is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany.
The Chrysler Group (CG), is a subsidiary of Daimler-Benz, and produces Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles. CG is headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Actually, Fiat S.p.A. owns the control share of Chrysler Group LLC. Jeep is actually a brand, rathere than a company. Chrysler group manages Chrysler (as a brand), Jeep, Dodge, SRT, Fiat USA and Abarth (for the activities in NA) etc. Since Chrysler is practically owned by Fiat S.p.A., this latter controls also Jeep. On the other hand Fiat S.p.A. owns Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A. (FGA), that manages production and sales in Europe. So it manages Fiat (as a brand), Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Abarth. Plus it manages the sales of Jeep in Europe. Finally, it manages Chrysler (as a brand) for Ireland and UK (where Lancia cars are sold with Chrysler brand). Then Fiat S.p.A. also owns Ferrari and Maserati, for global activities. And some additional companies like Magneti Marelli, Teksid, etc. Finally, it owns Fiat South America (FIASA), producing and selling cars in SA (mainly in Brazil where it is the market leader).
