I have always been a fan of the Chrysler 300. Early this summer I drove several 300C SRT8s at Gateway International Raceway in Madison IL. They felt at home on the drag strip as well as on the road course. I just plain liked the car. Even the base 300 with the base 3.5L engine is a nice car. That said, 300s have always been known for their style and performance, not their reliability. The new generation 300 is no exception. Consumer Reports magazine rates the 300 WAY down on its desirability list due to reader's reports of problems. If you want reliability above all else, buy a Lexus. If you want a car with personality at a reasonable price, I would consider the Chrysler 300.

I'm not sure exactly what Myprivateone is trying to say in his answer. I hope he/she never gets a job as a stenographer. Anyhow, the 300 does seem to be turning out to be a very reliable car. All cars are pretty much reliable these days, it's just that some may have a few more problems then others. So far the 300 does not seem to have an unusual number of reported problems.

Reliability scores do no longer tend to degree that far, so this is not user-friendly to assert. nonetheless, if very nicely dealt with a competent variety ought to hit the 5 hundred,000 km mark. Your appropriate wager is in all possibility nonetheless a Honda or Toyota. Or Subaru or Hyundai/Kia. I doubt something will do from now on effective. To hit your mark you ought to stay with *all* of the various products on the counseled maintenance schedule to the letter, or i do no longer think of your purpose would be accessible on any motor vehicle. Heck, there are various people who force my automobile, a Mazda RX-7, and actually hit the 5 hundred,000 km to 600,000 km mark with rigorous scheduled maintenance. And this is not inevitably the appropriate decision. There are some Toyotas and Hondas over a million,500,000 km. i'm particularly particular any good automobile can particularly hit the three hundred,000 km mark, relatively a Honda or Toyota. What you heard could have been from severe ignore. Buicks have undesirable reliability and Volvos are not that super the two. maybe you heard some deceptive counsel because of the fact they're vast troublesome finding vehicles.

The 300 is a pretty good car with no particular trouble that I,ve run across. Any car can have problems but nothing really comes to mind on a 300.
