If the spindle breaks, the wheel will most likely fall off. Depending on your speed at the time, you may end up with a spectacular crash, or you might just end up sitting with the car missing a wheel.

There is nothing good going to happen if the spindle breaks.

Actually, the way your question is worded, you have a broken brake caliper bolt. This should not affect the integrity of the spindle itself (however, all previous answers are correct, the wheel would fall off if the spindle failed). My concern would be the Brake Caliper falling off due to the missing retaining bolt. This would cause a loss of brakes. Either way, the vehicle MUST be repaired! It may be possible to remove the broken bolt, although I've never had good luck with this type of repair (DO NOT USE HELI-COIL INSERTS FOR A REPAIR!!!). The threads must be in excellent condition to hold the brake caliper in place. And IMHO, brakes are NOT something you want repaired half-a$$ed.
