I need to retrain after a tire rotation. No directions in manual. I do not have a donut but a full size spare tire on a nonmatching rim mounted under the car. I do not rotate this spare. I've seen that it has something to do with a magnet but I don't know if I have the magnet somewhere or you can use any type. Any help would be appreciated and save the cost of visiting my dealer.

PT will go forward but not in reverse. I can't go travel 10 mph. There was no warning of a transmission problem. I just drove it to Dallas and back with no problems. This evening I heard and felt a jerk in the front end on the Tollway, still no problem decreasing or increasing speed. Suddenly the trasnsmission went out 2 miles later down the tollway in stop and go traffic. I checked the fluid level and the stick was dry. I added 2 qts of ATF+4 Transmission fluid and the car could move but couldn't back up. Can't go over 10 MPH. Clacking sound came from the transmission I pulled over and stopped. Is there a problem with PT Treansmissions? If so what can we do?

I've had the car for 6 years and the bubbles were present prior to 100k miles. Otherwise at 115k, the car runs and looks great. A door lock replaced, transmission rebuild and timing belt and water pump replacement are the only major items. Do I just suck it up and look for a new hood for replacement? How much for a new one with install and paint?

The gauge goes over normal range then up to the red zone then back down to normal. Any other cruiser owners experience this?

I was quoted $685+ at the dealer for this 1/2 day checkup. How necessary is this if I am having no trouble. I will have the checkup if necessary but it seems like a lot of money to put out to change some fluids etc and look things over...Thanks in advance for any opinions..

I am looking to buy a used car. I just saw a purple Sebring which is available for a very low cost. I am not sure if this color is meant for women and if the men who drive cars of such colors are tagged gay.
Any suggestion would be helpful.

This is hands down the best car for the money, period !
I have driven them all, jap cars way overpriced, expensive to fix, German cars are worse to fix.

I have a 2004 PT cruiser with 20,000 miles. The "check engine" light came on this morning. I immediately called my mechanic who told me it was safe to drive--that the light would come on if the oil, coolant, and any fluids were low. At the same time there was a really loud squeal which I'm assuming came from a loose belt. I can't get it fixed until after Christmas. Can I drive it or should I just park it and wait to take it in?? I love this car and don't want to do anything that would cause more damage!!!
