First make sure you have installed the belt correctly.
Are you installing a new belt of the correct length?

To replace the tensioner:
Raise vehicle and support (best done on a vehicle lift in a garage)
Remove the passenger side tire
Remove the Belt guard (plastic shield between tire and belt
Remove the bolt in the center of the tensioner (not the bolt centered with the tensioner pulley, but in the center of the arm)
Install new tensioner
Install new belt
Install belt guard
replace wheel
lower vehicle

Done

On yours the only V-belt that you have is the one that runs the power steering pump. It has a jack screw to adjust the tension on it. You loosen the retaining bolts, and back off the jack screw, thus relieving the tension on the V-belt. Your serpentine belt uses the tensioner. You access it by removing the passenger side front tire, the inner fender well, and you may or may not have to remove the top timing belt cover, and/or the engine mount to get to the bolts that holds it in place. Stick a jack under the engine with a board on it so you don't damage the oil pan, jack it up until you take the weight off the mount. Remove the mount bolts, the top timing belt cover, and you should be able to get to the bolts. If it has one bolt in the center of the swing arm, then use an impact wrench to remove this bolt, as it will be very tight, and you may have to heat the bolt a little with a torch in order to make the thread lock they use on the bolt to keep it from coming loose. You won't need much heat, just enough to get the bolt to about 150 degrees or so, and it will come out. An impact wrench is the tool to do the job, and keep your rig as short as you can in order for it to bring the bolt right out when you hit the button on the wrench.
Glad I could help. Good Luck!!!

In the first place that belt is not a V belt but a flat serpentine belt. You do not need to remove the tensioner to remove the belt as it is spring loaded. You put the correct size wrench on it and pull up allowing you to remove the belt.
good luck

verify your oil factor. is it overfull and milky? undesirable information. youve were given inner engine complications. you ran over some thing lately? lengthy shot, yet you've hit some thing difficult sufficient to have the oil pan baffle hitting the crank. not some thing take position on the dipstick? positioned oil in it and save your palms crossed. once you've the three.0 liter v6, theyre regularly occurring for burning oil.
