I need to know if there is a mark or something to show me that the timing is set. How do I go about setting it on my own without having to pay to get it done. Please Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In response to the above answer, I believe he is refering to the timing belt, not spark. I would recommend getting a haynes manual for this car. It is really hard to explain these things because if you do it wrong you will be buying a new motor. You can go to autozone and get one for about 15 dollars

You can't, period. These cars all operate on electronic programs which automatically set the timing in either the ignition module or the engine control module. They take input from associated sensors and perform a mathmatical calculation to come up with every conceivable timing response. If you are having a problem, it is not the timing. You need to have the problem diagnosed properly and repaired. Good luck.

There's no way you can check it or change it without a PCM flash tool & programmer. That's how it is with OBDII vehicles (made after 1995/1996).
