I've had the car for 6 years and the bubbles were present prior to 100k miles. Otherwise at 115k, the car runs and looks great. A door lock replaced, transmission rebuild and timing belt and water pump replacement are the only major items. Do I just suck it up and look for a new hood for replacement? How much for a new one with install and paint?

Well, lets see, let me get this straight, you preplaced a door lock, transmission rebuild and timing belt and water pump replacement after 100,000 and you are pissing about the paint on the hood and expect the dealer to replace it?

SUCK IT UP!

I would guess that your car was in a hail storm at one time and paintless dent repair was used to remove the dents. The rusting comes from the paint be delaminated from the metal.

Unless you can prove otherwise, I think you should just buy a hood and have it painted.

I would call a dealer and check on perforation warranty.
Most are time limited (8yrs) not milage limited.
