If you have or know of someoen that has the Chrysler 300 series, do yo ufind it costly to maintain ( gas, repair, etc.) and also if you are a woman do you find it cumbersome to drive??

I am a mom of 2 children...a 8 yr old and a 1 yr old and i saw a fully loaded 2002 limited edition pt cruiser that i really liked today. It had 60k miles on it...The only problem i had with it was the small space in the back that acts like a trunk....I know the seats go down but it is not pratical with 2 kids....and the leg room int he back is not a lot...my dad said he was uncomfotable...pls tell me about this car??

I have recently been made aware that my friends uncle passed away leaving behind a garage kept but not running for the last 30 plus years 66 300 and was just curious if it is worth restoring -supposedly the body is in great condition-have not seen it yet-i would imagine it has some surface rust.

I'm a mechanic myself, but never worked with Chrysler. I'm planning to buy a used Dodge Caravan and I'd like to hear from people better familiar with Chrysler products - what should I look for (technically)? How is the transmission on these cars, what are the common problems with these cars? Any tips to keep it running longer? Thanks!

Any one have any comments on them, I am trading my windstar in for one, I have previusly owned Jeeps and the tranny went around 125K, that is my delima with the T&C, I would like to know if you love yours or are they a money pit like my windstar.

Ok.

I have a 1999 Chrysler Town & Country LX Minivan.

We've had it for a few years with lil problem.

BUT

Last summer something went wrong.

You put it in drive and you go, it doesnt shift outta low gear.

You can still drive it and everything works ok (lights, radio, brakes, etc)

And you can still go in reverse.

It's STILL in the garage. They've been working on it since July.

They've checked everything. They've sent it out to tons of other places. But they can't seem to figure out whats wrong with it.

Whats wrong with it? How do I fix it?

PLEASE HELP!

Does anyone use this vehicle for towing? If so how is it. I need to tow a 2000 pound boat. What kind of trailer hitch did you put on..a one from a dealer or a generic brand. Thanks in advance. Joyce
