I have a 2002 Chevy Impala LS. Does the change engine oil light come on after so many miles?.. or does it depend on how dirty the oil is? (Just wondering.. btw, we're changing the oil/filter this weekend) But I was just wondering what triggers it. Thanks!

Bought a low-mileage convertible Z28 with LS1 that is "fairly" fast. I drive it like it's a 4-cylinder. Previously had L98 "Iroc" when I was younger that I thought was fast but wasn't. Just wore everything out (trans, tires, rear end) trying to go fast and wasted a lot of gas, getting tickets. I know now that if I floor my present car all the time I'll do the same. So I have to ask what good it is to have a fast car? Can't use the speed or you'll tear it up sooner, eventually.

When I run a lot of electric stuff in my truck at the same time (radio, wipers, lights, heat , Etc) when I shut the truck off is has a problem starting back up like the battery is dead. It's not because it's new. I have noticed there are 2 positive cables going into the battery. The red plastic is melted and seems to heat up. When I play with the cable it starts right back up. Has anyone ever heard of this? Thanks for your help.

The key will go into the ignition lock, and it will turn to "ACC" or "on", but will not twist to the "start" position. Obviously, the key itself is not worn out, or it would not work at all.

What is jambing the thing from turning to "start"??

About one week ago it was raining and I went to apply for a job. I parked and was inside the building for about a half hour. When I got back out my car wouldn't start. Normally I can hear my fuel pump turn on, it couldn't hear it come on at that point in time. After sitting for about 2 hours, I went back to tow it, it started right up and drove half way home. Then it stalled, once again, I couldn't hear the fuel pump. I waited 10 minutes and it started up again. It drove to the shop, nevery failed once, then drove home. I haven't had that problem since. However, now whenever I am drivng the seatbelt light will flash at me, keep in mind, I am buckled up all the time. For a test, I buckled up and moved around, nothing happened. But as soon as I start moving the vehicle it starts flashing. This is a 1996 2.2 L4 2 door chevy cavalier with a manual transmission. Any Ideas, I need some help getting this fixed.
