C.V. halfshafts are inexpensive and somewhat easy to replace. Start by loosening the lug nuts and removing the axle nut on the wheel with the bad axle. Next, jack up the vehicle and support it on jackstands. Now finish removing the wheel from the vehicle. Now, look for the two bolts holding on the brake caliper and remove them. Slide off the caliper, and support it on the vehicle by hanging it with a bent coat hanger. NEVER let a brake caliper hang by the brake line. It will cause stretching and ripping of the line. Now, slide off the brake rotor. On the bottom of the spindle, remove the nut securing the ball joint. Now, remove the bolt that goes throught the spindle and holds the ball joint post in. Next, use a large bar to remove the spindle from the ball joint. Now, swing away the spindle assmembly from the axle shaft. If memory serves me correctly, the axle is fixed to the transaxle with a circlip. Hold the axle straight out, and give it a firm jerk to remove it. Assembly is reverse of tear down. Now, as I said before, this is all from memory, so some steps may slightly vary.
