how do you get song titles to appear on the head unit when a burned cd plays. is there any way to do it or does it only work for cd's that you buy at a store.

ok I have an aftermarket radio for my car...
pioneer DEH-P3700MP.

my car currently has factor head unit (radio/cassete player) and trunk unit (factory amp). I removed the factory radio and unplugged all its wires.

What I need to do know is hook up the aftermarket radio but I need to bypass the car amp so it instead uses the aftermarket radio's amp.

I called best buy they told me to bring it by but they said to bypass factory amp alone is $150. This was disappointing to hear. I know people can bypass the factory amps themselves with a simple kit. How can I do it for my specific car.

oh the factory car radio/amp is a becker model BE1432.

oh and another quick problem - my car's alarm will go off if it thinks the radio is stolen once the car is alarmed. Since I took out the radio, if I lock (alarm) the car and leave, 5 minutes later the alarm goes off - it thinks the radio is stolen. So I basically cant lock (alarm) my car.. its annoying!

I have a 1993 Ford Taurus that I got from an insurance settlement after wrecking my 1996 Ford Mustang. I kept the stock CD player from the Mustang and I am wondering whether I can put the CD player into the Taurus. If I can, I would like to know how to install it. Any advice would be great!

I have a 1997 Chevy Malibu. The battery died today, and the anti theft system kicked in and locked the stereo. I'm in the army stationed in germany, so it's not easy to just go to somewhere and have it done. I bought the car from somewhere else, and the code wasn't in the manual??? Please help me.!!!!

Hi there, I am looking into buying a ssytem for my car (99 honda prelude). I was considering 2 - Kicker S12'L5-2ohm subs which are rated at 600 RMS each; $189 each sub. I was also planning on gettin 2 - kicker ZX750.1 amps @ 2ohms($299 each) to compliment the subs or a kicker ZX1500.1 ($499)amp @ 2ohms. I also was looking into the pioneer indasd dvd deck..AVIC n2 ($525)...i would like to keep the cost around $1500. My problem is, I listen to a variety of music ranging from dance to rock to hip-hop. I want a system that will be able to keep up with my music like my dance but also give me the rumble. Any suggestions or help...??

what are good subs for a car

2007-03-07 17:59:17 · 8 answers · asked by ilee2192 3

I recently have gone crazy with car audio. I have wanted to install many things myself but for fear of ruining components, i've left it to the big guys (best buy). Anyways i have a 200 watt 4 chan amp powering my four speakers and doing a great job of it. I also recently just got a single 10" subwoofer that seems to be performing well using a seperate 220-watt XA 1120 Jensen amp that is ancient. Now from my understanding the Sub is only being given 110W because the amp is probably rated at 220 with 2 ohms and the subwoofer runs at 4 ohms. I've even tried searching for specifications on google and can't find anything because of its age. So i'm guessing with a new amplifier i could get some more bump for my buck.

However i've spent too much of my money already and have fallen to a budget. So i would appreciate it if someone could answer some of these questions and perhaps suggest a quality budget Amplifier (125$ MAX Prefferably). THANKS!

This problem occured right out of warranty. the hud display on the windshield will fade out then back in again. It will work ok for weeks at a time then will just quit. A few minutes later it is back on and may work well again for days or weeks. 85% of the time it works ok. sounds expensive to give to a dealer, lucky it has a regular speedo.thanks for any info ron r.

ok if anyone knows anything about this PLEASE i am begging you for help.

Ok so before I can enter my code for the radio I need to get the S/N because I dont know the code. So I took off the faceplate, pulled out the radio with flathead screwdrivers. I found the S/N on the top of the radio, I wrote it down. I slid the radio back in. I put the faceplate on but when I turn the car on and press PWR on the radio nothing happens. I think I have put the faceplate on wrong because it doesnt seem to snap in as well as it should.

My main concern though is I left the car, locked it, went in my house. 15 minutes later or so my car alarm goes off. The lights werent on or anyting.. I figure its the radio anti-theft alarm trigger. I guess the radio is not pushed in all the way (although it does seem so because the locks are in place), and thus the car is thinking that the radio is stolen.

Only thing I can think of is to leave my car unlocked so it wont sound the alarm? this sucks!!!

I resently bought a 2003 ford windstar sport model. it has a 6 disk cd staker built in to the deck and only 4 speakers in it 2 in the front doors and 2 in the rear sliding doors. when your watching a movie or listening to music it is very quite in the very back, i was thinking of installing 6x9s but im not sure if i can hook the amp up to the factory deck, the amp i have is a 2 channel 500 watt amp. is this posibile?

I just bought this subwoofer

http://www.bigdogaudio.de/subwoofer-chassis/subwoofer-3846-cm-chassis/preisklasse-000-250/crunch-gp15d4-ground-pounder.html

but it is too powerful for my KAC8101D Mono class 1000 watt Kenwood amplifier. Is it my wiring or do I need a stronger amp. As you can see the speaker has six wire terminals on it 4 for speaker wire and 2 for the led which lights up.The speaker is suppose to be 700 watts RMS and 1400peak. Amp plays and then powers out, and then cuts in and out.

How should I wire the speaker I have never seen one with this many terminals. I currently have all of the positive terminals running on one wire to the positive terminal on the box, and all negative terminals running on one wire to the negative terminal on the box, and all terminals are wired correctly to there corresponding terminals on the amp.
