how do you get song titles to appear on the head unit when a burned cd plays. is there any way to do it or does it only work for cd's that you buy at a store.

usually when i put songs on a cd the way they are named my pc is the way they are named on my cd. i use nero for burning. but to get the name on the HU use the DISP button on the wireless remote thats how it is for my 5900IB but it may be different for yours. look at the manual if this doesnt work

I have never had good luck burning an audio cd and having the tracks appear, unless I popped it into my computer that I originally burned it from. But here's a possible way around your dilemma.
If your cd player is a pioneer, then it most likely supports MP3 format cd's as well. Instead of burning an audio cd, try burning a data cd with just mp3's on it. this allows you to, in most cases, to fit over 100 songs on each cd instead of 15 or 20, and allows the ID3 tag that accompanies each mp3 to stay with it as well. I have a Pioneer MP7800 cd player, and it plays these very well. The quality is also better because when you burn a cd, it has to upconvert the cd back into a normal audio cd bitrate. Good luck!

because you have to import the titles on the cd when you burn them. i had that same problem until i started burning the track listings on the cd. there is a way to add the title via the head unit but it was too complicated for me. try using real player to burn your cds. it works for me.
