its same difference between Toyota and Lexus. Kenwood aint bad, but Excelon is like a whole nother brand.

Excelon is just the higher end kenwood products like V12 alpine etc. Good speakers you'll notice have a better sensitivity rating, as i remember its rated in db for 1 watt at one foot or something of that nature. A more sensitive speaker will be louder with less amplifier power, thus the lower RMS ratings.

excelon would be the higher end, probably the most reliable one that delivers great results. like there is a pioneer and pioneer premier brand, which gives better performance.
