ok I have an aftermarket radio for my car...
pioneer DEH-P3700MP.

my car currently has factor head unit (radio/cassete player) and trunk unit (factory amp). I removed the factory radio and unplugged all its wires.

What I need to do know is hook up the aftermarket radio but I need to bypass the car amp so it instead uses the aftermarket radio's amp.

I called best buy they told me to bring it by but they said to bypass factory amp alone is $150. This was disappointing to hear. I know people can bypass the factory amps themselves with a simple kit. How can I do it for my specific car.

oh the factory car radio/amp is a becker model BE1432.

oh and another quick problem - my car's alarm will go off if it thinks the radio is stolen once the car is alarmed. Since I took out the radio, if I lock (alarm) the car and leave, 5 minutes later the alarm goes off - it thinks the radio is stolen. So I basically cant lock (alarm) my car.. its annoying!

your radio has 2 parts, 1 in the dash, the second in the trunk. it is a square box the exact same size as your radio. you should unplug all the plugs if you are not using it any more. the 2 very small square plugs with flat pins are the left and right speakers. you would wire the left and right speaker outputs to these wires. you should have a front rear fader somewhere on your console.it would remain functional. the problem is its power handling is limited to what the becker puts out powerwise which is only about 20 watts per channel or so. if you are going to "crank it" with lots of power you will have to get to that fader and remove it from the circuit and hook up to the 4 individual speakers and use the fader in the stereo. you would have to upgrade the mercedes speakers due to their very limited power handling ability. the only other option is to wire around the whole system directly to the speakers and is best done by a professional. remember there are no speakers hooked up to the front in dash part of the radio. an amp bypass kit simply doesnt exist for your car. for some other cars such as ford an amp bypass kit provides an easy way out, but not on a mercedes. im sorry but i dont deal in aftermarket equipment so you need an alarm guy to answer your alarm question. good luck.
