I recently have gone crazy with car audio. I have wanted to install many things myself but for fear of ruining components, i've left it to the big guys (best buy). Anyways i have a 200 watt 4 chan amp powering my four speakers and doing a great job of it. I also recently just got a single 10" subwoofer that seems to be performing well using a seperate 220-watt XA 1120 Jensen amp that is ancient. Now from my understanding the Sub is only being given 110W because the amp is probably rated at 220 with 2 ohms and the subwoofer runs at 4 ohms. I've even tried searching for specifications on google and can't find anything because of its age. So i'm guessing with a new amplifier i could get some more bump for my buck.

However i've spent too much of my money already and have fallen to a budget. So i would appreciate it if someone could answer some of these questions and perhaps suggest a quality budget Amplifier (125$ MAX Prefferably). THANKS!

just a word to the wise i would avoid Kicker amps if i were you. i've had bought 4 about 2 years ago and 2 of them are currently not working. neither were abused. both just wont turn on anymore. just thought you'd like a heads up. good luck to ya.

Try the Rockford Fosgate p200.2. it is a 2-channel amp that puts out about 215watts RMS Bridged @ 2Ohms. and will max @ over 700 watts. should be about $159.99

The one thing that can distinguish a low-priced quality amp from the rest is if it's CEA-2006 compliant.
