Speaker buzzing?!?

the speakers in my car buzz when i have the ipod plugged in...and softly when i listen to the cd player! why does it do this...are they broken?! if so how can i get it fixed and how much would it cost?!

I believe the humming or "buzzing" sound is caused by magnetic distortion, it's normal for any audio playing device, but if it's excessive it may mean something in the player or wires is not shielded properly

the ipod is interfering with the electronics in your car.
