I own a 2000 Nissan Frontier with a factory installed sound system. I am looking to replace four 6 inch speakers and I need a subwoofer small enough to fit under a seat. The maximum that I want to spend is $500. Any suggestions?

In the question that was asked on 8/29 "Where is my bang" The asker "egoodkiss" said his 6X9's had as much bass as his 800W RMS Pioneer sub that was hooked up to a 300W RMS amp.. Our stereo God and respected leader, SPARKY said and I quote " If your pushing 300 watts RMS into 800 watt RMS subs, well there's your problem"

HEY GOD, ARE U KIDDING ME????

I had been designing and selling systems that half the time, consisted of 200-300W RMS amps running single 600-1000W RMS subs for 15 years and NOT ONCE seen the Subs suffer, blow or had as much bass as any 6X9's ever made!!!!. In fact, according to JL Audio techs at various seminars, a JL 12W7 sub inside a ported box powered by a JL 250/1 amp will be heard bumping from down the street. Not to mention me personal success stories I've had with this setup.

Any objections?

I heard that when it comes to good sounding bass, it really helps if all your stuff(subs, amp, and head unit/receiver) are the same brand. I didn't really buy it, until i heard my friend's system, he has all Dual brand stuff, and it sounds phenomenol. I have varied brands. Sometimes, on songs with fast paced bass, the bass will lag behind a little. My friend's doesn't do this, and he has less power, but it seems like it's louder. Would it help if i got all Dual brand stuff?

Why do people think Kicker, JL audio, alpine and the such are the best brands out there, they are far from such. It seems nobody's ever heard of RE Audio, Adassa, Treo, and there are many more to add. True kicker, jl ect. are good brands but dont say they are the best unless you actually know about most of the brands out there, in which case you wouldnt say they were the best.

Some car audio GURUs or GODs as they like to think to themselves have made it annoying for other to participate to answer questions. I was personally attacked quite a bit just because of my opinions that came from years in the business. If these guys are so gifted they would CORRECT me with respect if i am wrong OR add on to my answers if I forgot to mention the smallest of details, but there's no need for sarcasm or name calling. Most of the ppl who come ask questions here because they do not understand much about stereo installations, and you GURUs come out here and complicate matters further by answering like a robotic car stereo manual or a physics professor! My style of answering is not very technical and almost "ghetto" becaus I use common sense and want the asker to undersand what I am saying, not tell him/her go figure out what E=MC(sq) and the answer is there! They repeat my answers with more technical crap as if the asker totally understands with the heck they meant! Thanks!
