I have a nice stereo that came stock in a car manufactured in '99 that seems to take FOREVER to locate tracks on burned CDs. It will play fine from beginning to end but will not seek. It does not have this problem on the originals. Anyone overcame this little pain in the *** before?

I recently bought a 1994 Dodge Spirit. Everything works great on it except the right front speaker was completely dead. The other day I went to Circuit City and I bought a pair of 5 1/4" Pioneer speakers and I set up an appointment with their Road Shop for them to install them. So I take my car to the shop and I leave for 2 hours, coming back when I got the call that it was done. I get in my car and at first the sound was fine, and now all the speakers worked (I had the front two replaced). But after a short time a strange hizzing/buzzing noise kept coming out of my back left speaker and a little out of the new front left one. What the heck could have caused this? And what should I do to get it fixed?

I have read the "manual" and followed the directory structure arrangement, the disc is finalised etc im using phillips 700mb cds.
Next stage is to try other brands of discs but..... thats pants.
I find it rediculous that a drive in a car cant read a disc that my cheapo asda DVD play will play and do cartwheels for... unreal..
any "relevent" help to be shed on the subject would be really usefull.

Many thanks

Adam

I have a 2 channel amp with 375 watts rms per channel. My sub woofers are 300 watts rms each. My head unit has a control for the subwoofers and the bass. My amp has a frequency control, low pass filter, gain control, and bass boost switch.

What would be the best way to tune this setup, it is giving me a headache.
