I have a pontoon boat, and I am trying to put a stereo in it. And I was thinking about instead of going with a marine 6 1/2" going with a pair of bose 151 outdoor speakers(older model not the se). The price isnt to bad comparitively and the sound quality out of the fully enclosed 151s is alot better. I am worried about ohms and maybe wattage compared to a house stereo. Will it sound close to as well using a car stereo? I dont want to use an amp and those speakers say rated for 40 watts I believe. which doesnt sound like much for a car stereo, but a house stereo 40 watts may be considered more. Any experts on the subject with an opinion appreciated.. tia

I was looking at a set of subwoofers that are 15" and put out a 750 RMS. I wanted to know why they recommended A sealed Box and not ported. Because i thought porting it makes it sound better and lets the air flow. But what do i know haha

I'm looking to buy a car but dont know what type to get. I'm totally a new driver and have no experience or ideas about cars. Can anyone help me choose a not too expensive car ( below $6000), but decent, pretty good looking and safe to drive? Thanks a lot

I have a 2000 LT BLazer, and people are telling me that the stereo needs and output, and that most stock stereos, including mines, dont have them. Is their another way to be able to connect my system using my Stock Stereo. I dont wanna buy another stereo because, thats the way theifs knows if u have subwoofers in the back of ur trunk. if u have a stock stereo, must people would think that ur whole audio is stock.

I seen people with lowriders have this "special" types of extra batterys in the trunk, and i have seen people use things like the BATCAP 400 in the back . But is it possible to use a normal battery that u find in Sears for ur Amplifier and Subwoofers ??... i know u can run the amp cable to ur battery in the trunk , but i don't want to drain my battery. So i was just wondering could i just buy a second normal battery n place it in the back. WIll it work ?

I currently have a Rockford Fosgate T10001bd amp and two Alpine Type-R 12" subs. I want more bass, I want it louder but at the same time I want it to be clean. I was recommended to get the Rockford Fosgate T112D4 12" subs because of the amp I have. Will they be louder than the Type-Rs? Will they sound better?

So I have a Power Acoustic amp and a Kicker Solo-Baric subwoofer, and for some reason, even when I have the receiver completely turned off I get this pulsing/pounding similar to a "heartbeat". There is nothing I can do to make it go away, except for turning on a song with a lot of bass and turning the volume up really high (not always what I want to have to do each time I get into my car). I purchased this amp a long time ago, so returning it is out of the question. I am just wondering if anyone has any insight into this issue and what I should do about it. I realize that I could take it to a professional, but I am trying to avoid spending hundreds of $$, if possible :) Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
