I currently have a Rockford Fosgate T10001bd amp and two Alpine Type-R 12" subs. I want more bass, I want it louder but at the same time I want it to be clean. I was recommended to get the Rockford Fosgate T112D4 12" subs because of the amp I have. Will they be louder than the Type-Rs? Will they sound better?

No, RF won't be louder, and no, RF won't sound better.

Type R's are outstanding subwoofers for SPL & SQ. If you're not presently pleased with the sound, you may want to take a look at some different enclosure alignments, tuned to the subwoofers for the range you're after.

Additionally, make sure your amp is absolutely balanced at its input gain with the signal source from the deck. Instructions can be found on JL Audio's site (and, of course, many other places).

Plus, your power and ground and rest of your electrical system plays a role in power. That's a very hungry amplifier that will put out every bit of its rated power, and then some, but you need to be FEEDING it nearly 20% more than what it's putting out, in addition to electrical system needs for the vehicle functions and any other amplifiers you may be running.

Maybe u just need a new custom made box? The equipment u have is great and u should get alot from it. Also, check for other things, like the use of a power capacitor, thicker gauge wires, new higher performance battery, Dynamat the truck... All these upgrades give u more power and eventually bass.

But, if u have done all that, then look no further than JL Audio new 12W3v3's. 12" subs, get 2 of them and put in a 2.0 cf sealed box.

Rockford has been in the subwoofer game for decades. If anyone knows how to make a hard hitting sub, it would be them. Alpine makes great head units and prob. amps too, never really been impressed with their speakers.

The subs you have are outstanding as long as you have the proper box for them. You should get one built to Alpine's specs. You won't be disappointed.

just wondering? has the bass seemed to drop since you first put them in? if so and you need it louder, It may be a real good time to have your hearing checked.

i think of human beings may be at liberty to have the opinion that they decide for. they ought to have the capacity to specific there opinion, and people who hear (which must be countless human beings) ought to have an open suggestions, and doubtless exchange there opinion. some critiques will possibly no longer grow to be something, whether it doesnt propose there valueless. whether no one treasures your opinion, you ought to. Its what makes you who you're.
