first off, if you do your research, ask professionals, not the chumps on crutchfield or at best buy. If you wanna do it yourself, more power to you. its not that dificult to do right if you take your time. Youll need a HU with AV outs on it (all aftermarkets do, some stocks do too), an amplifier, and the enclosure for the subwoofer, as well as wiring (ground wire+terminal, 12v line+in line fuses, speaker wire, etc). Do some research on howstuffworks.com, and read into it more. theres plenty of info out there.

You are best to totally start from square one. Yes: DiVinci is crap. Bose isn't so bad, but you have them already. For your subs, forget it. Those are card subs and amps. They won't work well at home. Get at least a name brand (Onkyo, Denon, Pioneer, Yamaha) stereo or receiver that has an LFE out. Get a proper Home Theatre power sub. It will have a proper mains supply and likely and auto off. Some time in the future, get proper home stereo or home theater mains and surrounds.

You'll need an Amp and the wiring kit for the Amp. If youre still shopping around for all of this checkout crutchfield. They have videos on how to install the Amp and Sub and they'll even show you the wiring kits that are approved for use with the Amp.

You need an amp which will match the output of your sub, some decent oxygen free cabling for your earth, positive and speaker cables from the amp to the relevant parts ( car body, Battery and sub)...and then you are A 4 away... Happy listening...
