Think of it in terms of a garden hose. The more I kink the hose, the more resistance I put on the water. But here's the tricky part, more is less.

For instance, if I have 100 ohms and I add 300 ohms, I get 400 ohms which is less resistance.

0 ohms is a dead short.

To figure resistors (speakers) in series (connected end to end forming a line), use this formula:

Rt = R1 + R2 + R3 + ...

To figure resistors (speakers) in parallel (connected ends to form a ladder), use this formula:


Rt = 1 / (1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + ...)

if thats what your asking no watts arnt ohms, watts are a measurement of power ohms are a measurement of resistence
