Honestly if you only want to spend $500 no more you need to trim down what you want. You could get everything you want for that price but the quality would be terrible. Think about what you are really going for out of your audio system Sound quality ,Bass, or a mix of both. Then go from their check out crutchfield.com and do a search by your vehicle to see what speakers fit your factory locations. Don't buy of of crutchfield though they are extremely over priced but they are a great source for info. Also check out soundomain.com their is a lot of user reviews on this site for products. the best of wishes for you on this project man and have fun with it.

I've heard good things about:
Infinity Reference
Infinity Kappa
Pioneer
I've heard mixed about:
Polk
And I've heard very bad about:
Sony Speakers
I have bottom line 2-way Pioneers and two 12" subs in the back. The sound is great. My stock Ford speakers weren't able to handle it before.
Get some Infinity Reference. Thats my suggestion.

bose sucks. and for that amount of money, your not going to get any front speakers that are going to woo anyone. but as far as a sub, pick up a pioneer premier shallow mount woofer. there only 4" deep, and hit 2x as hard as any bass tube. plus there only about $180. get a amp for it, and a pair of kenwood excelon speakers in the front. it would sound the best, but it wont sound bad either.

i heard that in case you purchase the equipment from perfect purchase they do the deploy for loose, look into this.or if your going to take the interest on with a pal merely get rid of one front and one rear speaker. the stereo will nonetheless play and you will comprehend merely what length speaker is in there, your door audio gadget are coaxial audio gadget and the rears are 3 way if there after industry audio gadget.this way you will comprehend for particular whats in there you in no way comprehend until you have one on your hand.good success with your sound gadget.
