Whats the best box 4 the alpine type R?

it's only one sub but i want loud deep bass and im lost weather sealed or ported, i will run it at 2 ohms

it matters what exact woofer youre using. Larger subs will need larger volume boxes. Look on the site for the measurements youll need.

If you want more bass, then get a ported box. If you want beter quality, get a sealed. Most importantly though, get the correctly sized box for the application.

I agree with him. If you really want low, deep, loud bass, go ported. Just make sure that you have it built to the subs specs. Also know that ported boxes get tuned to a certain frequency, based on the volume and port size, so the lower you tune it, the more deep bass your going to get (but usually at the expense of overall loudness). The key is getting the right balance.
