If you have a decent sound system then the subwoofer air pressure can change the shape of your eyeball. This screws with the focus of your eye.
You turn the radio down so that you can see better.
If you're really good you can find a song/ volume combination that has a resonanat frequency matching your eye and you can improve your vision.
When you find that then instead of turning it down, you'll always change the disc when looking for an address.

Finding an address requires concentration. The radio, along with cell phones, putting on make-up, eating, drinking, etc are all distractions. We really should be eliminating these all the time behind the wheel, but obviously we don't.

Any extraneous sound causes distraction and reduces concentration. We need most of our concentration to drive, and if we have another task to do as well, then we need to remove all distractions
