I have had a 97 dodge neon 2.0 for 4yrs now, junk i tell you.My mom let an older man work on it to fix a oil leak, when we got it back the leak was not fixed and the transmission was slipping. We ended up replacing everything but the trans (i wouldnt face that was the problem.)A hose got stuck in the timing belt while repairing something else. The head needs to be resealed again because the bolts are stripped.Long story short the trans will only shift into 3rd when it feels like it,and the head needs new bolts. It runs.It seems like when it heats up the trans will not work properly.Other than those major problems....what do you think a dealer ship would say to trading this in on a car about 3-4k?maybe lower just to get rid of it?

Ok, I am 17 years old with my mom's old '94 Nissan Sentra. I will be leaving for college in August and my current car keeps breaking down constantly. I need a dealership that will finance a 17 year old with probably no credit. Also that is near Houston, Tx.

'm going to purchase a vehicle today. Would you get a 2006 Kia Rio or a 2005 Hyundai Sonata? Which is the better car? I like the way the 2005 Sonata looks better than the 06 Rio. What do you think?? Thanks!

I paid via installments to the value of £1200, I had the car a few months then traded it in at a book to book price for a jeep and i was to pay an extra £1200 on top of the £1400trade in price he gave me. From day one i had problems with the jeep so refused to continue payments until this was rectefied. He eventually took the jeep in an found out that it was going to cost over £900 to fix so we decided on another trade in instead. I only had the jeep 3 months! He then gave me an astra that was older than my original trade in and packed in after only 1 day!! He decided that there was no other option but to give me a refund of £600!!! after i had paid £1200 for the first astra, then £300 towards the jeep and thats not including the cost to me of road taxing these cars. I only had 1 day's use of my road tax on the last car. Can this be right? I am over £1000 out of pocket and have no car!!!!! Please give me advice as i'm desperate!!!

I would like to purchase a new toyota (currently looking at a tacoma). I would like to get it at the best price possible, but also want the dealer to take me seriously and not be too offended by an outrageoulsy low offer.

The MSRP's I have been looking at are running around 26,000 to 29,000.

There are not currently any dealer incentives on these vehicles, but I will continue to watch.

I have excellent credit so that is not an issue.

I have time on my side as I don't NEED the vehicle immediately.

I am located in a town with a population of roughly 40,000 and have access to larger towns nearby and their dealerships.

Thanks!

Alright, I was in an accident a while back which totaled my car. I got money from the insurance company, and I've been borrowing my dad's vehicle until I find something. I need to hurry up and find a car, but it's been really hard for me because I can't make up my mind what I want. I'm at the point now where I just need to decide on a good, decent car and go with it because I've had his vehicle for a while.

I have actually found two totally different vehicles (one's a Toyota, and one's a Honda= both are used andgood cars) in which I feel either way I go should be an ok decision. The problem is, one is significantly more expensive than the other because it's newer and it has a lot less miles.

My question is, should I chance the less expensive vehicle which would allow me to save more money but I would chance the quality and dependability of the vehicle, or should I go with the more expensive (but PROBABLY more dependable) vehicle, still being able to save some (a little)money?

The minivan is about 10-12 years old, runs, but makes some strange sounds and shakes. The windshield is cracked, it needs new tires, the lock on the passenger side door doesn't work, it has some rust and quite a few scratches, dings and dents. I do not want to put any money into it, obviously, and my husband thinks we should just donate it for a tax write-off. I would rather sell it and have the cash in my pocket. Is it realistic that ANYONE would want this thing? I really would take just about any offer, I'm just not sure how to go about finding someone to buy it.

I have a 99 honda accord ex coupe. I still have a $300 note on it. My payments end in October of '08. It's killing me. I have 4 kids and it's obviously not a family vehicle. I have good credit, but no down payment, and I don't earn much. I would like to get a new car w/ a note of around $200. Any suggestions on loans, vehicles, etc? I really do not know where to start.

I am 21 with a credit score of 605 (I know its bad)(but I have no negative credit just a quite a few CC's that I always pay but are still high balance around 5500 total, I also have student loans but those are deferred).... I already have a car but its an 02 I want something like an 05-06... a small SUV around 14-16000.... My current car is being financed and I've only had it for a year and a half... The blue book value for my car in its condition is 4-5000. I should have at least 2-3000 also(tax time)... and I can afford an extra 50-100 bucks a month...
Do you think I will be able to get it(under financing)? How does this work if I am financing my current car? Do they consider it a trade-in?
Basically I want to know if its worth my time to research(I dont wanna waste time if I can't get it ya know...) If so the place I purchased the car and also the maker of the car always sends me advertisement, coupons, and etc. are any of these good to act upon? Would it be easier to go w/ either

Two and a half years ago I bought an Atlas Mayfair Super (2002) on a site in Stourport-On-Severn for £23,000 (having brought up 4 children single handed and struggled for many years they had grown up and this was my reward to myself). Due to ill health I now want to sell it and the new owners of the site (who took over 9 months ago)have offered me £10,000. Given the site rental that I have paid plus other bills since I bought it it will have cost me £19,000 for jsu that two and a half years use. When I pointed this out the new owner said that I was welcome to advertise it myself to be taken off the site - all very reasonably said but obviously putting me in a difficult position. I want to know what the current trade price is for this make of caravan and year but do not know where to look.

Okay I've never been to an auto auction and was wondering how does the process go? Do they let you walk around and look at the cars and have a mechanic check it while the bidding is going on, or do you have to check the cars before the auction start? and do they bid one car at a time, or do they bid many cars at once? and do you actually have to still bid on the car if you're the only one that wants the car? and no other bidder's have stepped up ? and besides paying for the car itself, what other items do you have to pay for (such as title, liscence plates, etc.) and how much extra would it cost you?

I am a 19 year old male, never had a car, and I live in the state of Illinois. I am planning on buying a car from an auto auction for around $1,000-$1,400. I was told I need to take a mechanic with me to look at the car overall, the one I'm buying that is. Plus I have done Carfax Vehicle History reports on most of the cars at the auction I am going to, and the car i want only showed 1 report, so I am looking to buy that car it's only $1,000, but i was wondering do I have to pay additional fees or just flat out pay the $1,000 at an auto auction. And what information should I ask for the title? and do they give you the liscence plates for the car? Has anyone ever bought a car from an auto auction for around this price range if so, let me know how it ran, how long it ran, and how much maintenence had to be done to the car? I would appreciate it, and do they actually bid for these cars at this price or do you just look at each car through the parking lot?

I recently purchased a new vehicle, for which I was told I was approved and was allowed to drive it off the lot. Two weeks later the dealership called and said they couldnt get me approved and want the car returned. I am willing to return it. The problem is, I traded in my vehicle. I know they will want some money for the 1400 miles I put on the car. it had 10 miles on it when I bought it If I drive this car on their lot and they refuse to give me my car unless I pay up. can I be criminally charged if I take the new car back off the lot. I thought about parking it down the road and walking to the dealership, then give it to them when they give me my car. Does anyone know a website I can look up state car purchasing laws???
