I know planes are only allowed to fly a certain amount of hours before they are "retired" and was just curious to see if anybody out there knew the exact amount, i guess it may differ by the airline(s).

Blue Angels F18 #6 crashed in South Carolina today 4-21-2007 killing the pilot.
This a sad moment for all of us who are hard core aviation fanatics, best wishes goes to his family and to Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis will be remembered because he inspired us all.

Departing from LHR to LIS, during taxi I noticed a green "jumbo" that seemed to have a md-11 tail...very short plane..like a 747SP...
It was left there, with signs of rust...looks like trash...does anyone know what the hell is that??

I'm a student pilot, and in ground school we are learning about airspace and all that good suff. Though, I can't undertsand what agl and msl is. I know msl is mean sea level and agl is above ground level. Someone else asked this question on yahoo, I read the answer, and I still don't get it.

TO BECOME A COMMERCIAL PILOT IS MY DREAM, BUT ON MY PHYSICAL EXAM I FOUND OUT I WAS COLOR BLIND, ALTHOUGH I PASSED ONE OF THE ALTERNATIVE COLOR VISION TESTS AND THE RESTRICTION HAS BEEN TAKEN OFF FROM MY MEDICAL CERTIFICATE (1ST CLASS).
