I agree that you would have a hard time finding a job with the A320 over here. 1500tt is not very competetive for the A320 jobs. Obviously you would have to convert your JAA license to a U.S. ATP. Not sure how much that would cost. Try checking out an American flight school such as All ATP's. I don't see a conversion program listed but I am sure that they would be able to let you know what you have to do to convert it. http://www.atpflightschool.com/index.html

You will need to turn the JAA into an ATP for a major airline job... you dont see many pilots with 1500TT even as first officers with major airlines in America though... You should probobly start with a regional in the States or just stay in Europe... it will cost alot and you will take a major pay cut to come over here and basically start over...

Make money? Yes, you can make money, but remember that the US is still recovering from 911 and the war! Check into United around Sept.....supposed to be hiring.

Yes, United flies the A320...I am a flight attendant with them..I just flew on one yesterday!!!!! {good lord)

first of all why do you have a kind with purely 500 hours? you have taken that waste of funds you spent on the kind score and have been given your CFI or merely outfitted your multi time. Comming from a Captain and previous chief Pilot i does no longer hire you based on your decisioning making. yet thats one pilots opinion. reliable good fortune!

UNITED DOESNT FLY A320's.
A major airline flying an A320 is ARMAVIA GO TO ARMENIA OR LIKE STAY IN EUROPE. AIRBUS BELONGS IN EUROPE.

Yes they do, 97 of them in fact. As well as 55 A319s.

You might look into JetBlue. They have been hiring and like Airbus time. Not sure about the license requirements, they can tell you.

Obviously, without FAA certificates (not to mention a US work permit) United and other US carriers won't hire you.
