They definitely should not stop performing. Even though it is very tragic that a pilot has died and that these pilots must risk their lives everytime they fly their planes, the mission of the Blue Angels is to demonstrate the prowess of the armed forces and increase recruiting. I've also heard many announcements at their air shows that remind spectators that the thunderous roars of the jets they hear is the sound of freedom. It will always be a risk to fly high performance fighter jets at extreme speeds, but what it does for American patriotism and the military's overall mission outweighs the tragedies that occur (which is still a very small number in the long history of the military's aerial demonstration teams). Those Blue Angels who have died doing what they loved have died heroes and their memories should never be forgotten.

No, I personally love the air shows. It's a sign of freedom and being patriotic. I mean if they stopped the Blue Angels from doing air shows, does that mean they won't have jets fly over after they sing the National Anthem? These men and women are out there doing what they love the most.....flying. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to be able to fly these aircraft. You have to be in the top physical and mental shape possible. Over the past 26 years of the shuttle program they have had two terrible accidents and they have kept going. I don' t think this accident should stop the Blue Angels from flying. They just need to step back and see what went wrong, then fix it and get back up in the air again.

No. #one million...it incredibly is a recruitment gadget. #2. The planes they fly are the comparable as their wrestle planes. they could be flying something someplace besides. #3. extra die throughout preparation workouts than at air shows. you purely hear approximately each and every of the air coach crashes because of the fact they are so public. The Blue Angels have a extra useful secure practices checklist than the different team interior the army, based upon "sorties" flown. #4. The Thunderbirds want some opposition.....

No.

Flying like that is dangerous and it reminds us how good those pilots and their aircraft have to be all the time. The slightest error can cause a fatality.

That being said, here are many sporting events and other activities in general that are much more dangerous than a Blue Angels Demo, but not so many that are nearly as impressive.

No, mostly because they are Ambassadors to the military, which unfortunately is neccessary in this time. They show the mental discipline and capabilities and professionalism of America's finest. These accidents are EXTREMELY RARE and only freak occurences. Granted it wasnt to long ago when the t-birds crashed. But still they take extroadinary measures to ensure the safety of everyone with these shows

No,but it is sad that the pilot died. However, he died doin' what he loved. If you have never been to see the Bue Angels in person, I suggest you go. You'll gain an enormous respect the capabilities of both man and machine.

No: the same answer to questions like "Should NASCAR stop ALL of their races? Should NFL cancel ALL their football games?"

Believe it or not: degrees of risk involve EVERYTHING. You risk drowning when you drink water.....or whatever...to driving on roads anywhere......and yes.....even if you pilot ANY aircraft.

Eventually, when you dare immense risks each time you try.....eventually, you'll fail to beat them; mere fact of life--and it's end.

NO! All pilots are trained to do everything they can to prevent the possibility of a crash. If the crash happens then it is most likely going to be mechanical error.
