Getting an 03 Mitsubishi Lancer and Im going to have about $400 give or take to spend. It has a cd player and the stock speakers don't sound horrible, but they don't sound great. I was thinking about getting an ipod ready head unit and 2pair rockford T162c speakers, or trying to get a set of rockford 12" p3 subs off ebay, but the subs and the amp would be cutting it close i think. What would be better, ill get them both eventually anyway.

I'm a new instructor and I have a question about solo cross country training/endorsments.
ok heres the Deal
My student has done 3 XC trips with me
I signed him off for a Initial XC trip to an airport 60 nm from airport of departure after I had reviewed his flight planning. I had my old instructor review it to be sure i'm not messing up on anything. He says that its not valid because I had not flown the route with him and given instruction on the route to and from the airport and pattern entry. My question is the endorsement for this type of XC says That I have to review and approve his cross country flight plan. Now if I were signing him off for repeted XC that one says Specificly that I have to give Instruction on route of flight 2 and from and pattern entry. Am I right or is my old instrucor correct

I am interested in your thoughts about reliability with no consideration given to prestige, styling, looks, cost of car, etc.

I washed my car this morning with carwash liquid and found it covered in millions of little brown dots/stains. The washing didn't remove any of them. Possibly from the trees around the carpad (punga). How on earth do I remove them?

As a horse trailer owner, what are some of the most important features to consider when purchasing a trailer? Are any features a 'must have'? What about the rear doors - split or ramp? Gooseneck or bumper? What features could you not live without..... Etc...
Thanks in advance!!
Eric

I am going to be getting a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES shortly and I want to know if they were good cars like im hearing. Secondly does anyone know what all it would take to make the ES's SOHC into a DOHC, and without replacing the whole engine if possible? And finally I want to get simple rubber floor mats that have the mitsu logo on them, i think ive seen them before but I cant find them anywhere. Like the ones you would find at Walmart but they only have like Ford, Chev, and Dodge. If you could link me to one that would be great!

I went over the speed bumps to my townhouse and i sorta went over it faster than usual and it made a BANG noise, and so i checked it and there's this plastic cover on the bottom of the car i guess it covers the axle, it was loose. And i tried jacking the car up to check under, but either because i didn't jack it up high enough the frame only went up and not the tires.....my dad is a retired auto mechanic so i called him at work and he told me to check the shock absorbers by pressin down the drivers and passengers side, but the drivers side is really sturdy, but the passengers side is really loose and it bounces a lot but it still returns back what can the problem be? if there is one?

Hers the deal,...me and my fiancee are looking for a cheap reliable car for now till we can get some money saved for a new car. We have 2 choices,..1: 93 Mercury Capri, the woman said it has quite a bit of miles. and she only wants 1,000 for it. Our other choice is a 96 Dodge Intrepid which has 126,000 miles on it, the woman said her husband has been using it and its running fine. they want 1,500 OBO. Which would you go for and why? Neither of them have ANY major body problems. maybe a few dents a little rust here and there.

I have to buy from a relative because I don't have enough money to buy privately and I don't have enough credit to buy from a dealership. There are two cars that I can buy: A 1994 Buick Park Avenue and a 1998-2002 (I don't know for sure which year it is) Dodge Intrepid. Each have all power, and upgrades.

The Buick, however has things like automatic lights, turning lamps, automatic climate ctrl, dual climate ctrl, leather seats, automatic seats with memory, and ctrls on the stearing wheel, these things aren't found on the intrepid. They would be about the same price, so I can choose between them.

I have heard both good and bad things about both cars. Which do you think is better? Mechanically and reliability wise, I could get over all the extras the Buick has and the intrepid doesn't, the features on the intrepid are good enough for me and I just need the car to be solid, LOW maintenance, and dependable so I don't have to make a lot of repairs and stuff.
