I am going to be getting a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES shortly and I want to know if they were good cars like im hearing. Secondly does anyone know what all it would take to make the ES's SOHC into a DOHC, and without replacing the whole engine if possible? And finally I want to get simple rubber floor mats that have the mitsu logo on them, i think ive seen them before but I cant find them anywhere. Like the ones you would find at Walmart but they only have like Ford, Chev, and Dodge. If you could link me to one that would be great!

In my experience as a mechanic,Mitsubishi is a good vehicle, however I would advise against changing the camshaft config on the vehicle,This is a big job and involves changing the head completely also a new set of valves, timing belt, not to mention the difficulty in timing the engine with two camshafts

Check Ebay, but they're not all-weather they're carpeted.
