A used car was purchased by a college student and had Jiffy Lube do an oil change at 40,000 miles. Her car now has 60,000 miles and car breaks down. AAA tows car to Toyota service dept. and mechanics determened that the oil filter had loosend up and lost all of the oil. The engin may have seized and could cost 4,000 dollars to replace. Our guestion is, can Jiffy Lube steal be held responsable for this oil filter backing off even though it has gone past the recomended 3 month or 3,000 miles oil change. We live in California and would appreciate any help.

i pulled the covers off the fan relays and they aren't actuating. whether the motor is warm or cold, i get 12 volts across the coil terminals on the relay plugs when the key is in the running position. jumpering the contact terminals makes the fans come on. replacing the relays doesn't solve the problem. i get around 70 ohms across the relay coils in both the new and old relays. i'm totally stumped, as all the electrical readings seem normal to me. since i can make the fans come on with the jumper, i can also rule out problems with the fan motors.

Say between city A and city B, is the flight plan pre-determined and the pilot simply follows the map going up or down and turning left or right? Or, is it that at every point during the course after takeoff the pilot is guided by the ATCs about the altitude and direction: left, right, up & down to take to reach the destination?

It's bad enough that their riding on the sidewalk instead of the street. They're riding fast. You probably don't see or hear them because of traffic. Also the same people don't pay attention to the light. You can get hit by crossing on a green light. They often get angry if you say anything. I guess I'm asking for trouble with this question.

I live in Cheshire, England and am learning to drive, but am finding it really difficult to practice as I am not yet confident enough to drive on roads. Does anyone know of any places off road that I can practice such as empty aerodromes? Thanks.

Does anyone know of any legit links I can follow to obtain a free Carfax type report on a used car I am thinking about. Everytime I look on the net, they ask close to ten bucks for a report, and I am sure there has to be a cheaper alternative...
