Carbon fiber does have some durability issues. We've had a few people in here complaining of it starting to turn brownish - that's due to sunlight damage. You may be able to minimize that problem with a UV-resistant clearcoat.

Personally, I don't like the look of lots of unpainted carbon fiber. There's no subtlty to it. The carbon fiber is just screaming, "Hey, look, this here's a mod!" Not quite my style.

When you like the look of carbon (these spectacular cell texture), you will find it great. The idea behind changing body panels to carbon is to reduce the overall weight or altering the centre of mass of the car.

Carbon fiber is very strong and flexible, and damages can be repaired nearly as well novadays like the conventional parts. I haven't hear about anyone who had problems with it once installed. By the way, a car needs care, right ?

CF looks very crappy. If you do get CF, be sure to get shiny spinnarz to go with it! Y'know, just to complete the trashy bling-bling look! :-)

I think you should start with a real car first.
