I live in Cheshire, England and am learning to drive, but am finding it really difficult to practice as I am not yet confident enough to drive on roads. Does anyone know of any places off road that I can practice such as empty aerodromes? Thanks.

You used to be able to drive onto the beach at Porthmadog in Wales, I'm not sure if you still can but it might be worth checking out. Supermarket car parks used to be the best place, until they all became 24-hours and now there's no such thing as an empty car park - however after 4pm on a Sunday when they shut is a good time. I don't think there are many empty aerodromes left sadly but if not try and find a straight, long, quiet road or a housing estate that's quiet and have a go, making sure someone else can take over if you need it. Good luck :)
