I was late paying my December installment of my council tax and paid it with the January installment in cash on the 15 Jan ( it should have been paid on ! Dec and 1 Jan) but recieved a Magistrate court summons for the 2 outstanding amounts after I had paid them.(it was dated the day before I paid but i received it 2 days afterwards). I have phoned the council tax office but they insist I must pay the £40 summons fee or the court hearing will proceed against me.I have not got £40 to spare this month so what will happen when the case goes to court because I don't actually owe any council tax installments, it is fully paid for the year ending 31 March now.

I was just wondering if I could find out specifically what the break down is of my taxes or whether this is 'classified' information... I want to know for example, what percentage of my income tax goes towards NHS and how much of council tax actually goes to upkeep of roads, and street lighting in my area? Plus how much of every tax goes towards the government's wages.

Anybody in the UK who leaves in excess of £285,000 (including their property), now has to pay 40% in tax to the Government.

You can protest about this by either texting 0901 013 1501 YES
OR, 0901 031 1502 NO. This campaign is being led by The Daily Express on our behalf.

When I die, I do not want my kids to lose money, which, should go to them, as opposed to the Government. We are in effect being taxed twice, once when we earn it, and again when we die.

It is no longer, only the rich that pay this tax. 4 out of 10 households now pay it.

If we all vote, then the Government must listen. Stop them taking your money by voting now.

Officials a Downing Street have agreed to respond to any peition.

In addition, you can go to the following website, to see how the tax will apply to you. www.express.co.uk

Last year a similar petition was hand to Gordon Brown which had over 1 million signatures. Help me get rid of this unfair tax.

* Today in the BBC news, he imposed A carbon emmission tax of £40 on long & £10 on short flight passengers.
* it a blackmaling & a robbery crime committed against the UK citizens, as the flight will go if I pay that tax or not.
* it is just an excuse to fill their pockets form the choiceless people.
* It is a dectatorial system that one person like brown can impose that on the people without reforing that to the Parliament to vote on that greediness of taxes.
* I can see no democracy in that process!!!
* I urge the people on all levels to stand to that act of robbery & make their say heard.

I work as a secretary for the NHS. We are expected to cover for colleagues when on holiday but when my colleague went on compassionate leave for 7 extra weeks I covered doing up to 20 hours extra per week. I was told by my line manager I would be paid, but now I keep getting false promises. The work was done last Oct/Nov. Can I claim through the Small Claims Court?
