I watched how often someone put money in the hat of a beggar. If every gift was 10p they still made enough to be over the tax limit

I could take the money with me when I fly to Pakistan, but a) it's a bit risky travelling with such a large amount of money. Secondly, if I were to take 30,000 GBP with me through the Airport here in Britain would I gest stopped? Or is there some law saying how much you can take out of the country when you fly? How can I find out the rules regarding this?

I've watched several Property Ladder progs on UK TV (and a few others) and they watch someone buy a house, refurbish it, sell it, then say what their profit is. Not once have they mentioned capital gains tax as it wasn't their home... Has something changed? Can you now buy, refurb andsell a house you dont live in and avoid CGT? Sensible answers only plse as I really want to know..

If in the future I sold all my assets & got possible inheritence would I have to pay tax if I left the UK before I sold them all?

Like many I feel inheritance tax is PARTICULARLY unfair here in the UK as it is not a tax on your income or your liquid assets, so it can force you to lose items of sentimental value to comply with the law.

As a single working taxpayer I believe that students should pay income tax like everybody else. Theyt already get cheap housing and cheap loans. IE if I went to my bank and said I want a loan but can't start to pay you back for five years I woulod get laughed out of the building. Also since the introduction of Tuition fees, where has the portion of my Income tax gone that was previously used to make university education free for all. I haven't had a rebate for that part of my tax bill and probably never will. Do you think students have it too good and should start living in the real world and have to pay for things like everybody else does.

I mainly do importing and exporting. I got a problem from some vendors outside of EU. When they shipped the goods to me through courier companies who will pay the importing VAT on my behalf, the value of goods in the document with shipment is very lower than what I paid to them. That means they send me an invoice when I paid on wich the amount is genuine. But when they sent the goods, they used another invoice with lower amount. What I concern is what should I do with importing VAT? I don't intend to evade of VAT. For me, I hope the can declare the true value. But the venders didn't for their reasons. The goods had been paid less VAT than they should when they came in UK. I think I can claim back the importing VAT as input VAT even I paid more.So the more I paid, the more I can claim back. This don't make a difference. But will this make me smuggler? What is the best solution for me?
