I think im paying too much tax, i heard there is a website that goes through all your circumstances and allows you to make sure you are on the correct Tax Code. Is this true and if so what is it?

phone inland revenue - go on the website to find which number you need to ring, http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ and then check with them about how much tax you should be paying. They were very useful when I was paying tax when I shouldn't have been and I eventually got a refund because they sent my employers the correct tax code, but I also had to make my employers ensure that I was put on the correct taxcode because they were really inefficient.
