I moved out of MO to KS in March 2007. When I went to get the license plates for my car in KS, they charged me the property tax for the entire year. Now I recently got another bill in December from MO for the same property tax. Why am I being double taxed? Why do I have to pay the same tax to both the states? Why isn't this being prorated by either state?

Hi everyone.

The company i worked at was purchesed abroad and as a result, my contract was not renewed.

Recently i moved in with my girl and we pay 450 rent and 250 council tax this month, however, now i have lost my wage until i find new work (which im actively seeking), i decided to apply for JSA.

Yesterday i went to sign on and i was told that after 3 weeks of waiting, that i am not entitled to JSA and instead i would get national insurance credits.

I have no idea where to go with this, 250 is coming out 2moro so that leaves me and my girl with 250 quid left to live on, but bills etc will soon chip that away.

Am i entitled to any money? I waited 4 weeks exactly to be told i aint getting anything so a poor christmas aside.... is there anything i can do to have help?

Housing Benefit and Council Tax benefit is handed in which will take 5 weeks, and on top of that, the tax credits form will take just as long.

Im really stuck here so id appreciate your help. Who to talk to etc?

I've been on Anticoagulants for 23 years after heart surgery and will be on it for life and have recently been told I am too unfit to work so am now claiming Incapacity benefit. but as my incap pays me £2 more per week than the Gov say I need to live on(£61) I can't get income support and therefore have to pay prescription charges but doesn't that mean that when I pay the £6.85(per item) I am then £4.85(minimum) below the amount I need to live on?

I am on Warfarin for life, so I have to pay for the privalidge of life because I am sick, some privelidge that is!

Thank you Mr Brown!

Have they robbed you direct debit account earlier than usual or do you have to remind them to take all your money.

(knock, knock!) Can you tax fuel more please?
£1.08 a litre is just too cheap.

(knock, knock!) Can you please take more than 22% of my earnings and more than 8% national insurance?

(knock, knock!) People are complaining that they aren't being taxed enough AGAIN! on purchases from the shops they use, and the shop keeper is also complaining because he is only able to more than triple the price of incoming goods so he can pay the business tax rates.

Hi, are there any budget experts out there who may be able to help me out with the following?
I am in an absolutely desperate situation where I have been given the following question to answer and am at a loss at how to even begin to answer it..

'You have prepared a budget for the Medical Council's expenses for the year ending 31 Dec 08 as follows:

Venue costs £34,000
Employee costs £100,000
Doctors' expenses £20,000

You submit this budget to the Council, and the budget is agreed, with the exception of doctors' expenses, which are to be increased by 12.5%.

This budget is to be charged to the following PCT' in proportion to the number of doctors in each PCT area as follows:

Richmond - 78 doctors
Brixton - 102 doctors.

Produce a budget for submission to the Brixton PCT.

If anyone could help me out I would be eternally grateful. It seems extremely complicated and I'm not sure how to start. I'm sure I'm just being thick.

If you are able to help, thank you in advance.

My employer has given me a form to authorise the deduction of tax and NI through payroll, however I want to pay tax & ni once I have sold the shares and not before. Am I making a fuss over nothing or am I within my rights to refuse and sort it out myself?
