Two choices.

1) Get your tax code changed to 503L cumulative now (its probably 503L x or week one)

To do this the Inland Revenue needs more information as you may have gaps, P45 details missing etc. Call the revenue and ask what information they need to get a tax code issued and any overpayments will be repaid by your employer on the next pay run. **Please note we are coming up to the end of the tax year and some employers can't run a new tax code this late.

2) Await the end of the tax year (06/04/07) and once you receive your P60 submit this original (take photocopy for yourself) to the tax office that deals with your current employer along with a covering note detailing your employers/taxable benefits/periods of no income from 06/04/06 to 05/04/07.
This should be dealt within a month of being submitted to the correct tax office.

Good luck with either choice you make.

It should be assessed in April but you should of had a tax code by now...........speak to your employer it should on take a week or two to receive it..........

Phone the Inland revenue yourself............you will get all the excess back after April, just use it as a saving plan and have a big spend up when you get your rebate x

When the tax year ends in April the Inland Revenue will assess your tax payments and should send you either a refund or a form to fill into claim it back.
