Me and my wife Are Epecting Our First Child Sometime In April.
If Our Child Is Born On Tax Day!! Can We File Him/Her as a dependent. For The 2006 Tax Year?

as long as he is born on any day in 2006 you can file him as a dependent

Not tricky question at all. Since the child wasn't born in 2006, you can't claim him for that year.

nope. Taxes are rated per year and thus anything happening after December 31 06 is not taxable on 2006. Only exceptions are RRSP's purchased by end of January.

Im thinking no because it is 2007 now...sounds like a deduction for next year.
