* Today in the BBC news, he imposed A carbon emmission tax of £40 on long & £10 on short flight passengers.
* it a blackmaling & a robbery crime committed against the UK citizens, as the flight will go if I pay that tax or not.
* it is just an excuse to fill their pockets form the choiceless people.
* It is a dectatorial system that one person like brown can impose that on the people without reforing that to the Parliament to vote on that greediness of taxes.
* I can see no democracy in that process!!!
* I urge the people on all levels to stand to that act of robbery & make their say heard.

My answer to your actual question is no, although I can understand that you may feel aggrieved at paying extra money for your trip.

You might get a more sympathetic response if you hadn't filled your question with so many inaccuracies. e.g.

Are you sure the BBC said the tax was imposed today (or yesterday as I write this)? If so that is wrong as it was already in existence and has only been increased.

Blackmail and robbery are against the law. This tax is within the law. Why not try to get the law changed instead? Also I doubt the flight will go ahead if all the passengers decide not to pay the tax and travel by alternative means.

Next you imply that some persons (you used the word "their" rather than "his") intends to steal some of this tax. You are probably committing the offence of libel or defamation of character as I would think it is clear that you are referring to the government. I don't sympathise with lawbreakers.

Finally, this increase was put through the democratic process. I would argue that the current process does not allow enough time for proper debate but that is not your complaint.

Go away and calm down. Get your facts right. Put together a decent case and start campaigning properly if you feel strongly enough. Taxes can be overturned with support gained from sound reasoning but your tirade will not, I fear, have much success.

The government is doing a great job.

Soon only the rich people like Gordon Brown will be able to afford to go abroad. That will keep our planes clear of the great unwashed and the lower classes like you and me.

Gordon Brown has a Scottish parliamentary constituency.
Scots flying abroad for holidays often have to change at London.
Thus they have to pay TWICE.

The people of Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath should vote him out!

Just wait until he puts the Forth Bridge Toll up to £10!

Personally, I'll fly via Amsterdam.

Ask yourself how much of that tax is going to fund environmental projects? Not a lot.

Higher taxes wouldn't be so bad if they weren't just wasting the money.

When they set GP contracts in 2003 they just gave the money away. GP's are laughing ! 20% pay rise and 4hrs less work per week.

But the point off increasing the air tax is to use these funds to spend on ECO-Travel and reduce the countries carbon emission, which has finally been agreed by top scientist that it is man which is increasing carbon emissions and we need to reduce these quick before we make this planet unlivable.

Has aviation fuel been subjected to tax yet? I know it wasn't. Though of course the airlines would just pass this on in higher ticket prices
