Want to deduct the moving expenses in 2006, but house didn't sell, so hopefully will in 2007. If so the household goods are sent, but can one then deduct them in 2007 if already took the other moving expenses in 2006?

Thanks

This is for my state income tax return.
Line 59 states:
Enter the portion of line 3 subjected to tax by other states while an Ohio resident. (I worked in California all summer)
Line 3 is my Ohio adjusted gross income
Am I supposed to put the entire amount of my Ohio adjusted gross income, or the portion of it that was earned in California?

Hi. I usually use Turbotax. A family member has asked me to help do her taxes as well with Turbotax. Is there a limit to how many returns I can file using Turbotax?

Also, could I install the program on her computer as well as mine from the same cd so she could do it by herself?

I just moved to FL from Minnestoa and when you rented in MN you would get renters tax credit. I think you would get back 30% of what you paid to the Landlord. Is it the same in Florida? I am ready to file and the landlord has not given me anything. Please help answer my questions.

I am transferring a traditional (rollover) IRA to a ROTH Ira, both within the same company (Ameritrade). The form gives me options in the "Tax Withholding Election" section
1) I elect not to have Federal Income Tax withhold effective (enter the date you wish)
2) Please withhold taxes at the rate of 10%
3) Please withhold taxes at the rate of X% (enter the % you wish)

My goal is to transfer all the money into the Roth IRA and then I will pay taxes out of my regular income, i.e. money in a bank or whatnot. I'd rather have the full amount transferred into the ROTH, and than pay taxes out of my own pocket instead of having anything withheld. Is this legal and possible and if so should I just choose I elect not to have federal income tax withheld. Also if I choose this option what do I enter as the date effective? I don't want to be hit with penalties. Thanks

I got married Oct 31 2006 and dont live together yet. Can we file as single for 2006 ? And if we file as married but not living together, if I itemize my taxes why does my wife have to itemize her list even though she has no deductions? (according to the guy at H&R) Apparently he didnt have the answers so I figure someone might know here. He just said cause you have to.

I've recieved 10,000 from my mom (to help me put down payment for my car). Do I have the put that in for my taxes? Does my mom have to put that in for taxes? I heard that you have to do something if someone withdrawn 10,000 or more from their bank account--if any of you know, can you tell me? Thanks!
