We opened a small business last year. We did okay the first few months, but once January hit our sales were less than half and debts started building up fast. We are now into May and haven't paid ANY rent this year and are behind with several suppliers. We put it up for sale hoping to get back to where we were before the business but all potentials think the lease is too expensive.
I don't want to file bankruptcy as we are not incorporated and I'd have to be personally bankrupt as well and risk losing our family home, etc. because of this.
We have a lot of children and are suffering terribly from this business nightmare.
Any ideas of what we can do? I was thinking to lower the store price dramatically to just make enough money to pay the back rent, suppliers and one of my several business loans. At least I'll be out and can get a regular job to pay down all the other business loans I have.
Please help if you know anything in this area.

I have looked on Ebay and some things sell like hot-cakes one day and not so good on others. What is the best thing to sell and what are the best days and times to start your listing?
I know I have asked this question a million times, but maybe somebody new will see this. Where can find good honest wholesalers? Right now i am looking for electronics but I would like to know of any good wholesalers no matter what they sell.
I have been referred to ones that make you pay to see a business and then all it is a list of busines's, and then those places make you pay to see their item list. Most of it is a bunch of junk too. I actually got ripped off by some guy who said his items were actual iPods, with the apple logo and all and then when i started questioning him more they were actually knock-offs.

I am a stay at home mom and I am starting a business making candles, homemade lotions, shower gel, bath salts, lipgloss, bubble bath and other bath and body stuff. I need a name, I would like something really creative (like Common Scents, but that is a business name in my hometown) Something original but catchy and very clever. My name is Deanna but I really dont wanna use my name. I am from Indiana. Everything is homemade, with natural ingredients and the candles are soy. So anything other details you would like let me know!! Thank you so much :)

Please only people who have experience at this sort of thing. Everyone wants you to buy their program but won't tell you what it is. I need something I know that I am getting to. Please no e-bay offerings unless you are making alot of money on without hardly any money down. Something that really sells its self or runs on auto pilot.

My brother needs me to move home within the next month, to look after his house(rent free), i was supposed to in July , beacause in july i would have been in my current job a year,
I am a jewelry repair technician at a prominent jewelry company in texas, this is a good job, i can do the work, and it is the work i went to technical school to do. I had hoped to stay at this job for at least a year but , for my career goals now it dosent matter how long i stayed at this job since, i want to start my own business. The longer i am here the more i realize that i NEED to work on building a solid business plan and starting my own line of jewelry.
The whole reason i went to technical school was to learn how to make and design jewelry for my own company one day.
This move would create the free time i need to work on my business, and to help out my family.
Please give me serious answers :) thanks

I used to work for a window tinter for a while. He was known around Dallas so he had tons of clients (leasing agents, dealerships, and ultimate consumers), and he made about $5000 a week give or take. I know it would take quite a while to get a customer base that large, but I want to start my own window tinting business. I'm a college student so this would be a way for me to make cash on the side.

I am going to purchase the supplies to start tinting again. After a brief period of "breaking the rust from the bolts" I plan to start looking for clients. Now what I am curious about is how should I go about this.

(I plan on being known as a mobile window tinter) So I do not have a shop, but my house has a small garage. I'm getting off target...basically what would you recommend I do to get my name out there?

Keep in mind I am poor college student.

I have designed a kit that I would like to have produced that works off of an idea similiar to that of a refillable Day-Planner. While it's not a planner, customers would still need to add replacement sheets. Who can I contact to build these. I would like several options available. A leather or cloth case, different styles, different sizes... the works. It is for a business that I am preparing to launch in the next year, so budget is a MAJOR concern. If I have to remove some items from the kits then that's fine. Maybe I can get with multiple companies and put the parts together myself?

Please help!

I am planning a business. I will start out with baskets for new babies and if all goes well I will make the extra investment for wedding baskets, and then so on and forth. By baskets I mean gift baskets. I have researched local business license, but I am not sure if a local business is the right way to go, so I am thinking internet or Ebay. What kind of license do you need for these types of businesses.

Ok, so i wanna start a business, only a small business, lets say for example a shop.
Only exception being, that this shop requires internet, phone, and TV.

Can anyone break down to me EXACTLY all the costs i would have to incur.

I know rent for premises etc.

By the way, i have no staff so that doesnt matter.

This is our first time using an accountant. We are starting a BBQ restraunt in Arizona. In our search we see "CPA" and "PC". What are the differences in the two designations? I want someone to help with cash flow, taxes, capitalization and expense reporting and control.

Thanks in advance,
