Ok, so i wanna start a business, only a small business, lets say for example a shop.
Only exception being, that this shop requires internet, phone, and TV.

Can anyone break down to me EXACTLY all the costs i would have to incur.

I know rent for premises etc.

By the way, i have no staff so that doesnt matter.

this really depends on location and services provided. Your best bet for a price would be to break out the phone book and call each service you would like to have. If you need capital check out instantlend

'small' == 'shop' ??????

OK - most Shops are rented (or leasehold) - totally depending on size & location - High Street might cost you £1,000 a week, City Centre £5,000 (yes, PER WEEK)

Rates - Business Rates will be multiple £1,000's per year (again totally depending on location)

Commercial water/gas/electricity costs .. a few more thousand per year.

Public Indemnity Insurance ... could be less than a thousand/yr. = but I doubt it (depending on location)

NB. the ONLY reason why you should consider setting up shop is because your Business requires the personal presence of your customers ... eg. Cafe, Bar etc.

If you are selling goods or services that can be delivered by post or Internet, the last thing you need is the overheads associated with a shop ..
