Have a contract lined up for 170k over a year; projected deductible expenses shouldn't exceed 15k. I plan on incorporating at some point regardless, but I'm wondering if my tax liability might be even greater by incorporating. I don't believe in consuming for the sake of deductibility and the contract I have lined up is a "safe" one, so I don't need the legal protection gained from incorporating just yet. It looks like the tax benefits of incorporating are only realized when a business consumes to the extent where the net income is substantially lesser than the gross. Am I missing any other incentives here?

Anyone familiar with small shop / legal situations
I took in a piece of equipment for a repair.
The equipment had a simple situation which needed a few screws removed and an item soldered.

while the equipment was away from my sight, the volume knob got broken off.
The repairer does not admit responsibility but I know for a fact that the control was 100% intact when it was taken in. The way it is broken indicates it took a sharp knock to the side
basically he is going to order a new one and expects me to pay for it. (£7.85 - price from manufacturer)

I cannot *prove* that the knob was intact when I took it in
Up until now, There was no invoice or receipt indicating the shops position (ie, I havent seen anything that says 'this shop does not accept responsibility for any damage...... etc, etc)

what is the legal position?

I am a sale personnel in a design firm. Currently the biggest challenge i faced when meeting new clients is that they already have an existing vendor/designer.

How can i convince them to give us a try?

Please answer these questions concerning inventory of merchandise.
1. You come into work one morning and discover that one particular stack of items are knocked over or fallen over. What would you assume had happened?

2. While doing inventory, you come up short on the merchandise on hand and what is on the inventory sheet. What are some of the steps you would take?

If the prices are the same, would you prefer to shop at a mom and pop or big coorporate chain?

If the chain store has better prices, do you go there?

Let's see: There's mobile car care, mobile key and lock services, why not mobile pedicures? The technicians come to your home and perform the same services that you'd receive at a nail salon.
Recently, I saw a young lady walking gingerly out of a nail salon after, obviously getting a pedicure. She also had packages in both hands. I asked her if she needed any help and she replied: "Oh no thank you, but I just got a pedicure and I don't want to mess up my toenails." I thought: "Well, why not stay in the shop until your nails are almost dry?"
Anyway, ladies, this brought on the idea of a mobile pedicure service. You'd receive the same service as you would at a nail salon, with the exception of the nail tech coming to your home or apartment. Would you patronize such a business? Why or why not? Would you be concerned with safety? Please respond in detail.
