Please answer these questions concerning inventory of merchandise.
1. You come into work one morning and discover that one particular stack of items are knocked over or fallen over. What would you assume had happened?

2. While doing inventory, you come up short on the merchandise on hand and what is on the inventory sheet. What are some of the steps you would take?

It would depend on the merchandise.Is it non food items?
Food items disappear because they are eaten are stolen if not cooked and sold.
Non food items, make sure they have not been misplaced, do your due diligence.If you cannot find them and they cannot be accounted for You know the answer.
Try to put a time on when you noticed items had fallen can you place only one person there? If multiple people have access to items you have a difficult job to find the target.
Have a group conference let them know you know it is happening this may help deter the one involved.

first of all don't assume anything make sure that the items are missing or maybe misplaced then report any items missing
i do inventory all the time things like that happen
