I make about 400k/year and I am eyeing a home that costs about 1.1million... I have good credit and no other significant costs, but this is my first home purchase... is it likely I can qualify? If there is anyone who works in finance and knows anything useful about obtaining a mortgage, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I didn't have any identification to show, because my drivers license was stolen. And I didn't know it was needed at the closing. Plus, my realtor was not present . I was by myself. But the closing went on anyway. I think there was some illegal transactions that took place, but I didn't know what to say or do. Can I do anything about it now? Does the ID mean anything?

I live in a home where the owners rent rooms.I am alone. The other family is a total of 9.The owner & his wife lives at the same residence. So there is a total of 10 people all together. 7 adults -1 high schooler -2 young ones. One month the pge bill came up to 450$.
I feel that the bill should be split amongst the 7adults, which would bring my share to apprx.65$ per person. I have always given 100$ no matter how large/small the bill was.I heard from the other family that I should be paying more than what I give.I disagree.Their reasoning is: in my room,I have1 tv, a laptop, a small refrigerater and at this time a fan. They have the same & more but believe that I use more electricity than all of them together. Can anyone tell me how much does each of my items cost me to use daily? I do work so I am not home until 5p while 3 of them don't work. They are home all day on using three computers, tvs for the little ones and cuz its been hot many fans, etc. I believe I am fair in this. Do U

I currently live in Rhode Island but I am moving to California in three months. I got hired for a job in Santa Monica that pays $100,000 a year and my husband was hired for a job in Long Beach that pays $75,000. That’s a total household income of $175,000. Can I rally afford a home on this. I just sold my home in Rhode Island for $230,000 and I made $53,580 after paying the realtor. Where is a good place to live that we can afford, yet still get to work. I don’t mind a long drive, just not too long. I currently travel to Boston for work, which takes about an hour. I would like to own a house, not a condo. I have two sons and would need a 3+ bedroom home. I’m just a little worried how we can afford to live there. I’m flying out on Monday to find a house, but I’ve been looking on the internet and checked out the San Fernando Valley, Long Beach, and Northern Orange County. All I see is homes that are like $625,000 to $950,000. Is this feasible? Can I really afford California?

My husband has a credit score less than 500, it's like a 450. My score is in the 600's. Do you think we would get a loan for a mortage? Our income combined is at least $80,000.

I live in Houston, TX and I moved out of my apartment on May 6th. They told me to wait 30 days to get my refund. It's been 3 months already but I haven't get it yet. First, they told me that they sent it to the wrong address, so they put a stop payment on the check and will send me another one. Then they said that by mistake they mailed it to the apartment I moved from (I was moving out of it and they sent it over there?? sounds ridiculous and stupid!!), so....another stop payment but this time they were going to FedEx it. When I called to let them know I haven't get it, they told me that they sent it again to a "wrong" address, so I told them that they should call FedEx and give them the tracking # and find out what happened, but no, they said that they were going to put ANOTHER stop payment and they will FedEx AGAIN. This time they'll use their own address and I have to pick it up over there, but today when I went to pick it up they said that they FedEx to me, so I'll have to wait
