I was told that even though I filed bankruptcy, I could still sell my house and give all profits to the court, but my monthly bankruptcy payment won't change???? Is this true??? Why??? I want to get out of my house but I cannot afford to pay on the bankruptcy and a new place to live, shouldn't they deduct the amount of the house payment out of the bankruptcy payment???? Serious answers only please.

I notice that in buildings like libraries, offices, stores, etc, that the ceilings are always higher than what you would normally see in a house. It seems like so much wasted space up there. Is there a specific purpose for making the ceilings higher?

Did I mention that he's a snake in the grass? Prior to signing the quit claim deed (which relinquishes any rights he may have to the property), he signed a contract with his brother to sell his brother his 1/2 interest in the home.... now, who owns the house?

I'm worried they may be doing this to re-nagotate the purchase price based on them wanting to raise the loan amount 6,000 in order to get cash back at closing. I know there are stricter quidelines for FHA loans and am concerned my house will not appraise for the new purchase price. I'm I just being perinoid or is this a legit concern?

I really want a house, however my family's car loans and insurance are proving prohibitive. We have two cars payments that equal $316/mon. That's not bad but because I'm a new and young driver, our insurance (full coverage because of the loans) is $328/mon, which is more than the cost of our cars! We do have a couple thousand dollars in savings and are stumped with how to use it.

We can use it all to pay off one of the cars, which will save $109 in payments and we can switch that car to PLPD, which would lower the insurance. However, that would still leave us with $207 in car payment plus insurance and no savings. It feels like it would take forever to save up for a house after that!

We wanted to know about 120% or 115% morgages to see if we could roll the car loans into the morgage and then go to PLPD on them to save on the insurance. Then we could use the savings we have as a downpayment on the house.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Looking to buy a condo for my mother in law, I put down $2,500 as earnest money.

- The clause from Pulte Homes had a 15 days period for returning the earnest money in case we decided otherwise.
- In order to receive their incentive package we needed to sign with Pulte Mortgage.
- In order to expedite the process and because I have a 743 credit score I went through with the loan application as the borrower.
- Later found out that I couldn't be a borrower in the loan because I was living a few miles away from the condo and could be interpreted as an investment.
- After that, my mother-in-law was set as the borrower. She's retired, live in a property overseas, has no debts (none) and collect alimony from her ex-husband.
- The interest rate offered to my mom-in-law was 7.375% for a 30yr fixed loan with PMI and with a discount point fee.

At that point Pulte didn't offer further assistance. Consequently, she didn't want to proceed with the closing.

Hey all, I am a college student and I am looking at buying a house next year instead of renting. My parents and I are looking at houses but worried about being able to get a mortgage. Heres some info/comments/concerns.
I have 30k for a down payment.
2. My parents will cosign.
3. My parents own their home.
4. They have a home equity loan on the house, due to my dad being layed off a few years ago due to the .com bust.
5. Right now I do not have a "steady" job, I restore cars for customers, paint vintage arcade games for a museum, and also build cars to sell.
6. My monthly income varies from 500-5000 a month, it all depends on how much work I agree to do, and I would be able to do a lot more if I had a garage to do the work in.
7. For equity I have one vintage car that is worth 35k and a Muscle car that will go for 80-100k.
I would have about 5 roommates, and the going rent in the area is 500/month. Homes in the area are anywhere from 300-500k. What I would like to do is have a mortgage payment in the 2000-2500 range (or less) (which is equal to 5 roommates at 500/month) and then I would pay for the taxes/upkeep/insurance. I would keep it for 5 years.

I would really like to be able to buy a house in the area because the appreciation rate in the area is 18%, and I would really like to come out making money.

Whats my chances of being able to get a mortgage?
